Harvey’s/Swiss Chalet Restaurant Renovation

In the Summer of 2018 RMS Developments Inc. completed a 3,500 sq. ft. restaurant conversion. This construction project consisted of a full renovation, and conversion of an existing Harvey’s restaurant to a Harvey’s/Swiss Chalet. With RMS’ experience in renovations this project was completed on time and on budget.

Financial Building Tenant Improvement

RMS Builders Inc. completed an expansion and conversion of the Financial Building, in downtown Edmonton. This high-rise project was unique in that the top 6 office floors of the 11-storey building were converted into 78 residential rental units.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites is a 4-storey, 57,000 sq. ft. steel and concrete development consisting of 102 suites, a swimming pool with water slide, and breakfast bar. Built by RMS Builders Inc. through construction management and located in the Griesbach Community on 97th Street and 137th Avenue.

TownePlace Suites

This 75,000 sq. ft., 6-storey hotel was built with steel and concrete construction, and consists of 121 suites, swimming pool, and is located on the Southwest corner of Calgary Trail and Ellerslie Road in Edmonton. RMS Builders Inc. completed this project through a construction management contract.

Barrhead Ford Dealership

RMS Builders Inc. completed an expansion and renovation at the Ford Dealership in Barrhead, AB. Originally built in 1971, this project included renovating the existing shop and building an additional 6,000 sq. ft. for the Ford Showroom, and demolition of another building on site.

Whitecourt Ford Dealership

Located in the heart of Whitecourt, AB, RMS Builders Inc. completed a renovation and addition to the existing Spruceland Ford Dealership in early 2016. The scope of work included an expanded show room and additional customer service areas, and the construction of a new 8,000 sq. ft. vehicle detail building, along with asphalt paving and site lighting.

Through the repurposing of an existing building located off Roper Road and 50th Street, RMS Builders Inc. completed the renovation of a 14,000 sq. ft. space for this national tenant in February 2015. The scope of this project extended from demolition, extensive interior and exterior finishing, site work, and an addition of a 3,800 sq. ft. canopy area.

RMS Builders Inc. was approached by Jim Pattison Developments Ltd. to construct this 2,700 sq. ft. convenience store and carwash within their Pilot Sound project. RMS was very instrumental in having the building redesigned to meet the owner’s budget, completing the project in the winter of 2014/2015. As well as being a convenience store, this building also houses a fast-food restaurant and a separate non-touch drive through carwash building. Located very conveniently South of Anthony Henday Drive & West of Manning Drive beside the Hollick-Kenyon Landing shopping centre which features a Shoppers Drug Mart, Tim Hortons, TD Bank, Subway, Royal Bank, Second Cup along with many other retailers & banks.

Gateway Power Centre

Gateway Power Centre is a 50-million-dollar multi-use land development project located in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Royal Management Services acted as Project Managers on behalf of Price Waterhouse Coopers. Responsibilities included extensive planning of the project and supervising all consultants, contractors, and negotiations with the municipal government, for a timely completion of the 160-acre development. Over the five-year development of this Project saw the rural land transformed into the city’s largest power centre with over 500,000 sq. ft. of retail, plus a hotel, casino and hundreds of residential rental units. The development includes many major retailers like Walmart, Staples, London Drugs, Cineplex, as well as numerous restaurants.

Aberdeen Village Shopping Centre

The Aberdeen Village Shopping Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia was one of the more challenging projects from a construction standpoint. This project included the development of 134,000 sq. ft. of retail space, including Chapters, Staples, Mark’s Work Wearhouse and numerous other national retailers. The development of this project was constructed on a former rock outcrop and presented numerous engineering challenges to ensure the development of stable building foundations.
